from HOME

hello friends im writing to you from my home in early April 2020. this month was set to be a very active one, keeping me from home most of the month but in the midst our shared global pandemic i am here and luckily so. i am very fine and i hope you are doing well too.

there are many things to do from home including making teas tinctures and ferments to keep your body well, and music to experience to keep your spirit and mind well. we have this internet and each other and there are tools we can employ to stay connected. April 10 remains the release date of a 7 inch record i made with Marisa Anderson which contains two songs by two of my favorite songwriters, Cole Porter and Gene Clark. the record is on red vinyl and features artwork by our friend Vanessa Renwick. the music can be acquired digitally as well as physically via the link below (my bandcamp page). please consider enjoying this music through this platform as the revenue goes to us artists and our issuing label Jealous Butcher (they are sending out physical copies with the strictest anti-viral operations). The April west coast tour with Marisa has been postponed until autumn 2020 and we are wishing for that to be so!

Also from home, there is a special live album recorded in December 2019 with my friends L.A. Takedown playing songs i wrote over the last 20 years. I chose to release it a few weeks ago instead of next year for you good people to enjoy in your quarantine positions and also to support my bandmates, all of whom lost spring tours which equals income to working musicians. i think its great, i hope you can get in to it to.

thanks for reading and i hope you all are finding ways to keep your spirits and immunities up this crazy season. much love from home, TJO.
