needless to say, theres been a lot going on. much love and thanks to everyone that has been engaged in actions with love and humanity this season of change.
i do believe that music is a healing force and ive been lucky to experience that directly these last few months. ive been in rooms full of sound and people and felt my own energy shift along with everyone else. music is bolstering. collective action and experience is bolstering.
as witness to these magics, i continue to play music and have some news to share about that!
im excited to announce that the self titled album of songs i worked on last year is coming out April 21 on one of my favorite labels, GNOMONSONG. and released April 15 on my loving home in Japan, Sweet Dreams.

Ive contributed a song to the awesome project Our First 100 Days where all profits raised will go directly to organizations working on the front lines of climate, women’s rights, immigration and fairness. this is an excellent fundraiser for excellent organizations that brings you excellent new music everyday for the first 100 days of the new administration.
and i will be touring sanctuary cities of the US this spring, beginning on the west coast at the end of April with Tim Rutili (califone) and my dear friend and frequent collaborator Rachel Blumberg. check back for dates HERE
and finally, on the eve of the Inauguration i was lucky to get a band together to play cover songs with Dear Nora at the Bootleg in LA. Ryan Adlaf, Chris Cohen, Jessica Espeleta, Miggy Littleton, Aaron Olson and myself were joined by Katy Davidson for this classic and timely tune (thanks diana joy for the video). freak flags flying.
